  Borobudur was beautiful and the breakfast after was good! The other two temples were interesting, as well. The additional stops at the local village were great! Be aware that… read more you have to pay for a tour guide at Borobudur and all of the entrance fees and for the jeep. There are a lot of extra costs, but they are worth it! Ardi was great and knowledgeable, but he did not accompany us on half of the attractions.

  It is unfortunate that we can’t visit the top zone of Borobudur, but the chance to understand some local culture is also fascinating.

A part from visiting the temples of Borobudur… read more and Prambanan, during the tour we have had the opportunities to try luwak coffee, to buy and try salak and durian fruit, to have a very nice lunch (grilled fish with honey) and to try traditional music instruments (and puppet performance ). For the evening, he also managed to arrange for us the ticket for Gamelan show. If you are looking for somebody helping you to understand a little better the country you are visiting, I would definitly recommend him.
It really worths the price!
