Samas Beach Tourist Area Grows

Samas beach is unpopular in tourism industry. It is a fisherman’s area with their daily sea activities. But, todays, Samas Beach Tourist Area grows as other tourist spots develop especially after the pandemic. It is only 35 km away from city of Yogyakarta and 50 minutes from Yogyakarta International Airport (YIA). The beach itself is not quiet interesting because of the black sanded beach type, also the the wave seems not friendly to swim and surf (some people still observe the possibility). There are potentials point to explore in holiday activities since the area has; Lagoon, Mangroove, Fishponds, LightHouse Tower (Sunset), Local Culture activities, Camping Ground, beautifull villages nearby.

• Baros Lagoon (Laguna Baros): JetSki, Fishing
• Mangrove Baros EcoTourism: Canoeing, Camping, etc
• Sea Turtles Conservation; Green Sea Turtle, Hawksbill sea turtle, lute turtle and Olive ridley sea turtle. These endangered sea turtles should be conserved.
• LightHouse Tower

You may combine these activities with other visit like: Sultan’s Palace, The Water Castle or Cycling exploring villages nearby area.
